On the fateful night of April 13, 2019, Cecily's cousin, Mark, convinced her to join him and his friends for an evening out. It was then that Cecily and Joseph met for the very first time. From that moment, their journey together began.

Over the years, they have experienced the highest of highs and the lowest of lows. They have navigated career changes, a pandemic, health challenges, the loss of loved ones, raising a spirited puppy, and even renovating their 1906 bungalow by themselves. Through it all, they have placed their faith in each other, leading and supporting one another every step of the way.

Joseph and Cecily share a love for biking, live music, playing cards, and cooking elaborate meals together. Their bond is symbolized by the crane in Japanese folklore, which represents loyalty and mates for life. Family, friendship, and loyalty are the cornerstones of their relationship.

On April 20, 2024, Joseph proposed to Cecily during a bike ride. Cecily initially thought Joseph was mad at her because he seemed unusually tense and insistent on sticking to the schedule. Little did she know, he was nervously preparing for one of the most important moments of their lives.

Together, they designed their rings, carefully selecting a jeweler who could incorporate gold from an heirloom coin to make both rings, symbolizing that they are both equal parts of one whole.

Joseph and Cecily are not just partners, but best friends. They are ready (and excited!) to embark on this new chapter of their lives together.
